6/25/2023 0 Comments Mpow isnap x selfie stick utube![]() We feel that the Mpow iSnap X manages to stay popular and keep selling due to how strong of a reputation that it has and the fact that it is a dirt-cheap selfie stick that blows the other sticks at its price point out the water without them standing a chance. Now, as you would imagine from an entry-level selfie stick, it has been specifically designed to be as easy to use as possible. This ensures that anyone is able to purchase the stick, take it out the wrapper and get it working with their smartphone within seconds and start to capture their selfies like the one in the image above. The Mpow iSnap X supports pretty much every regular-sized smartphone on the market right now but some of the phablet devices are too big for its mount to secure. ![]() That said, at the time of writing, all of the iPhone range and all of the regular-sized Samsung smartphone range will fit in the selfie sticks mount and stay secure during use. The adjustable mount also allows you to easily adjust the tilt level of the stick from 0 degrees around to 270 degrees as shown in the image above. This ensures that you are able to angle your device as required to get the perfect selfie every time no matter the conditions. When not in use, the ability to tilt the head of the stick also makes it easier to store in your bag or pocket as you can change the angle of the head to ensure that it will fit as required.Īdditionally, you are able to quickly and easily rotate the stick to switch your device between portrait and landscape views as shown in the image above. This ensures that you are always able to capture the photograph you need to get the best possible snap to share on social media or preserve your memories. The Bluetooth remote control included with the Mpow iSnap X is very easy to pair with your phone via its Bluetooth options. For users who don’t want to worry about dongles for missing headphone jacks, the Mpow is the better option if you want to go fully wireless.Once paired up, you are able to press the Bluetooth remote to wirelessly get your phone to capture a photograph or start or stop recording video. Priced on Amazon for around $10, it’s in the same price range as Mpow, making it an excellent choice for people with older smartphones or battery concerns. Thanks to this, you never have to worry about running out of a charge. Also, it’s battery-free since it relies on a smartphone’s battery to power the remote shutter. This means that, just like the Mpow, it’s great for putting in a pocket or handbag and bringing along for an adventure. It’s also slightly lighter, at a mere 4 ounces. It can extend up to 28.7 inches in length, just short of the Mpow’s 31.9-inch max length. ![]() At its collapsed length it’s only 7.2 inches. The JETech Battery Free Selfie Stick, unlike the Mpow, connects to smartphones via a 3.5 mm cable that plugs directly into a smartphone’s headphone jack, meaning if you have a newer phone without a headphone jack, you won’t be able to use it. But if you’re willing to go wired, the JETech Battery Free Selfie Stick is the Mpow iSnap X’s main competitor. The Mpow is at such a competitive price that it doesn’t have many challengers for wireless selfie sticks. Our Favorite Selfie Sticks in Action The Mpow iSnap vs. Because of this, users should be aware that it’s a good practice to check one’s smartphone periodically to ensure its safety, particularly if taking photos from greater heights. While our smartphone didn’t ever fall free from the mount due to the silicone grip which keeps it secure, we did notice that this wobble occasionally led to it shifting somewhat in the frame so that it wasn’t nested into a perfect 90-degree angle, which is where the smartphone is safest. One criticism was that during testing a small amount of wobble was apparent when the Mpow was extended to its full length. From here, we were able to rotate and adjust the 270-degree swivel mount for the best selfie angle, extend the telescopic handle, and began to snap away. We selected it and, just like that, setup was complete. It took up to 30 seconds, but soon we saw the Mpow iSnap X was available for pairing. The compact Galaxy S8 fit without a problem. Then, we enabled Bluetooth connectivity on our Samsung Galaxy S8 and nestled it into the frame which can hold smartphones between 2.2 to 3.3 inches wide. ![]() First, we long pressed the shutter button on the soft-touch, non-slip grip handle for three seconds until the LED began to blink which signaled it was ready to pair with our smartphone.
